Frequently Asked Questions
Does my athlete need to know how to swim?
Yes. We require that any participant be able to swim at least 25 yards (1 link of the pool) to participate. Form does not have to perfect but they need to have the stamina. In diving we learn to dive down rather than out and being comfortable in the water and having good breath control is importany for safety.
What if my athlete has never tried diving before?
Our summer league program is designed to accomodate athletes from all skill levels. Meet entries will offer a variety of skills from beginner to advanced to ensure all athletes are able to participate.
Do I have to register with the AAU to participate?
Yes. We are an AAU club and a condition of that is all athletes must be registered with the AAU to be covered under our insurance. It is a nominal fee. All AAU registrations are annual and valid from September 1 to August 31 and will have to be renewed annually to continue to participate in our fall program.
